六十耳順 /尊重他人

古書很不容易懂的
晚年胡適問胡頌平
你們教國文的 怎麼解釋"耳順"?.....
胡適那時認為"耳順"就是容忍異已或逆耳之言......

當然他更知到這生命意義

近 代美國教育家菲普斯( William Lyon Phelps,1865-1943 )說過這麼一句智慧之言,很可以作為大家的參考。他是這樣講的:「君子的最終考驗,就是 看他是否能尊重那些對自己可能一無用處的 人。」( The final test of a gentleman is his respect for those who can be of no possible service to him.)


《論語· 為政第二》講要
