因有一篇中島利郎談《"西川 滿"備忘錄--西川 滿研究現況1994》頁109-33，而買它。
文中介紹西川 滿之所以稱呼台灣為華麗島，主要是因為他大學畢業後，思考其前途方向時，他的恩師吉川喬松(孤雁)建議他:"為地方主義文學奉獻一生吧!"
他回台灣時，又有贈詩
